Hidden in Plain Sight
Paul L. G. Harris
Trust no one. Look at it yourself.
Eight books on the things we were taught not to look at twice. Original tests you can check for yourself. A trail of puzzles. And a site that is hiding more than it shows.
The series
Eight books. One habit: check.
Each book takes a subject people argue about and does the same three things: what the source actually says, what the evidence shows, and what I think it is really saying. Then it shows you where to check me.

The Watchers Came Down
Two hundred of them came down. The Bible gives them four verses. The Book of Enoch tells the rest.

The Architect's Code
If it's code, who wrote it?
Written in the Open
Real codes, ciphers and hidden messages in old texts, art, music and buildings: the certain ones, the disputed ones, the hoaxes, and how to tell them apart.
The Oldest Medicine
Sacred mushrooms and plants, from ancient ritual to modern science.
The Man Out of Time
What Nikola Tesla could have given the world.
The Sky Remembers
Ancient people and the sky: do monuments and star calendars hold lost knowledge, or did we put the pattern there ourselves?
The Ranch at the Edge of Time
Skinwalker Ranch, portals and time: what is documented, what is testimony and what is television.
The Ones Who Lived Beside Us
Bigfoot, the wild man and the oldest stories: what the reports and the old traditions actually say.
Books One and Two are launching soon. The rest are sealed. Seals open as books are published, and a few open in other ways. Join the Registry and you will be told.
From the lab
Original tests. Run on public data. Open to checking.
Each one asks a single narrow question, compares the real answer with what pure chance produces, and says plainly what it does not show.
Göbekli Tepe Pillar 43: does the 10,950 BC date beat chance?
Does Pillar 43 at Göbekli Tepe carry the date 10,950 BC? The seasonal fit is good if the readings are fixed first, but 51% of random pillars fit as well once readings are free.
Read the test →Is there a hidden code in the Bible? We scanned 289,515 lines
The first letters of 289,515 Hebrew, Greek and Latin verses and lines, checked against 1,000 shuffles to see what chance writes. Only the alphabet poems and one poet's signature stood out.
Read the test →Which Tesla quotes are real? An audit of 46 famous lines
46 widely shared Tesla quotes checked against dated sources. 28 traced to Tesla, 13 had no source found and 3 were someone else's words.
Read the test →Test yourself
Can you tell a pattern from a coincidence?
The whole series comes down to that question. Try it on yourself, then on any text you like.
Real or Random?
Ten rounds. In each, one picture was made by chance and one was made by a person who was trying to look random. Most people fail. See where you land.
Take the test →The Code Finder
Search any text for words hidden at fixed skips. Then see how many times chance alone should have produced the same result.
Open the finder →The Cipher Bench
Caesar, Atbash, Morse, Vigenère, Bacon, Ge'ez numerals and gematria, on one bench. Useful for every cover in the series.
Open the bench →The trail
There is a door on this site.
Seven gates. Each is a real puzzle drawn from the books: a numeral, a mirror, a note with capitals in the wrong places, something in the page source. Solve them and the words you collect say something. Then they open something.
And if you own a book, the book itself is the key. The back pages hide a phrase. Find it, and you can unseal that book's vault.
How far people get
The board
Argue with the books.
Every book has a reading room. Every claim can be challenged. There is a board for theories, and one called Claim Check, where you tell me where I got it wrong. I would rather lose an argument here than have a sceptic win it later.
Every post is read by a human before it goes up, because the internet is what it is.
The Registry
Be told when a seal opens.
Launch news, new tests and the odd clue. One email at a time. Leave whenever you like.
