Ge'ez Numerals
Ethiopic numerals have no zero and no place value. Convert any number up to 9,999 and back.
How Ge'ez numerals work
The Ge'ez script of Ethiopia has its own numerals. There are signs for 1 to 9, for the tens (10 to 90), and one for 100 and one for 10,000. There is no zero. A number is built by combining them: 2 next to 100 is read as two hundreds, so 200.
Ge'ez is also the only language in which the whole of the Book of Enoch survives. Which is why the numerals turn up in the first book of this series.

The Watchers Came Down
Two hundred of them came down. The Bible gives them four verses. The Book of Enoch tells the rest.
